By: Meg Cabot 4 Stars Genre: Fiction, Memoir, Realistic Fiction Adrienne Quiros 8th Grade Mia Thermopolis is an average freshman, and is anticipating to start her high school life. Her mother is an artist, while her father a politician, and her grandmother has always been a mystery to her. One day, her father suddenly tells Mia that he is a prince, and since he is unable to have any further children, she is to be the new Princess of Genovia. Throughout her pages full of obstacles, she must endure through hard times, like the huge fight between her best friend, and her crush on the schools most popular guy, Josh Richter. Through hard work and perseverance, overcoming obstacles can be attained. This is a good series that is easy to get into. It is full of laughs, and has great intriguing conflict between the main character and other minor characters. It is categorized into "Chicks" but I bet guys would enjoy this series as well.
